The National Space Club – Huntsville was founded in 1957 to stimulate the exchange of ideas and information about rocketry and astronautics and to promote recognition of U.S. achievements in space. History

The National Space Club was founded on October 4, 1957, to stimulate the exchange of ideas and information about rocketry and astronautics and to promote recognition of U.S. achievements in space.

The Club is a nonprofit corporation comprised of representatives from industry, government, educational institutions, and private individuals.

The Club cooperates with and helps to stimulate other organizations and individuals to advance America’s space efforts and addresses itself to the broad historical, educational, business aspects of missiles and space.
